I
see that the Chartist historian Stephen Roberts (co-author, among other things,
of Images of Chartism, has added some pictures of the Chartist cottages at
Great Dodford in Worcestershire to his website.
The
cottages were built in the 1840s to house workers who won the right to farm
smallholdings on the Chartist land colony there. The cottages are now owned by
the National Trust and have, since the pictures were taken, been lovingly
restored.
The
National Trust runs guided tours of one cottage from April to September.
